Fragile stomach abstain! “Trop-Plein” is the gargantuan new exhibition at Musverre at Sars-Poteries which plunges us into the heart of the excesses of our society. And as soon as we arrive, the tone is set with this Pieta by Michelangelo revisited in a terribly insolent manner by John Moran, presenting us with the clown Ronald McDonald very embarrassed with his fast-food consumer dying on his knees... Not far from there, guided with a cone of XXL fries, curly to boot, we will come face to face with an exuberant banquet that showcases the greed and decadence of our era. On the menu, we find tasty crystalline pieces, a series of glass hors d’oeuvres and some bitter-tasting sweets. But overconsumption is not the only drift in our society... Ultra-surveillance, obsession with social networks, diktats of appearance... We will have to keep our eyes open to go beyond the colorful and playful aesthetics of the works and detect the references acid eyes of committed artists.
