Dan Flavin Exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

A pink neon tube against a wall, and the entire room is bathed in color. Pink, blue, or gold bars flood the space, blurring angles and dissolving walls. The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is dedicating some twenty works from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Collection, spanning the 1960s to the 1980s, to mark the thirtieth anniversary of his death. A radical art that this master of minimalism preferred to call maximalism.
ATENEUM ART MUSEUM From October 23, 2026 to February 28, 2027
The Ateneum in Helsinki brought together women from the North who, like Hilma af Klint, invented abstraction while believing they were painting under the dictation of spirits. There were about fifty of them.
TATE BRITAIN From November 12, 2026 to April 11, 2027
Tate Britain brings together more than three hundred works by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, a couple of artists and central figures of Bloomsbury, and recreates their Charleston studio at full scale.
THYSSEN-BORNEMISZA MUSEUM From October 20, 2026 to January 24, 2027
The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid brings Dalí face to face with Freud, whom he only met once. Six sections show what the painter took from psychoanalysis, and what he subverted from it.
