Madame de Sade, by Stanislas Nordey, at the Bouffes du Nord

Six women speak of the Marquis de Sade, who never appears on stage: Mishima explores why the wife, who remained faithful during twenty years of imprisonment, leaves on the day of his release.

Yukio Mishima writes a play where the man is everywhere and never present. Around the Marquise are her mother, her sister, a devout baroness, a libertine countess, and a servant: six women who speak of him on the eve of the Revolution, each recounting a different side of Sade. Stanislas Nordey brings together Mélanie Thierry, Anne Brochet, Sophie Mihran, Julie Pouillon, Lamya Regragui and Claire Toubin. Created in Annecy in October.
