Lily and Lily, starring Michèle Bernier, at the Théâtre de Paris

Michèle Bernier plays two twin sisters who are complete opposites, a Hollywood star and the wife of a Minnesota pastor: at the Théâtre de Paris, Barillet and Gredy's vaudeville returns for another season.

Hollywood, 1935. Lily Da Costa is a star whose taste for luxury, alcohol, and men is matched only by her talent, besieged by the press and a self-serving entourage. Deborah, her somewhat dim-witted twin, the unassuming wife of an austere Minnesota pastor, leaves her chickens and sweet potatoes to come and save her sister's soul. Identical copies, they will be forced to replace each other. Michèle Bernier plays both roles, Francis Perrin plays opposite her, Marie-Pascale Osterrieth directs. The play by Barillet and Gredy, created by Jacqueline Maillan in 1985, returns after a first season and tour that drew 120,000 spectators.
